The Whisperers (2025)

Two figures emerge amongst stone of a Neolithic structure, tracing its cosmologies and entangled histories, projected onto the concrete walls of Boston’s city hall. The Whisperers is a moving image work that creates connections with the matter that structure local organisation across time and space. It is comprised of performed actions, video, and algorithmically generated animations, developed by EL Putnam and Sonja Stalling, and shot at Sliabh na Calliagh in Loughcrew, County Meath, Ireland.

Presented as part of States of Emergence with Mobius Artists Group on Boston City Hall, 29 March 2025. Curated by Jasper Sanchez and commissioned by The Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, City of Boston.
