Rituals for Circuits (2023)
Rather than treating technology and nature in opposition to each other, Rituals for Circuits treats them as existing as interconnected, ongoing relations of dynamic change and influence. Incorporating projected video of Killala, Ireland, electronics, and performed gestures, Rituals for Circuits focuses on embodied actions in the fluctuating connections between humans, technology, and the environment as a conjuring. This performance emerges from ongoing research in collaboration with author Mike McCormack and is inspired by the paintings of Dave Madigan. It took place at the DLR Lexicon Gallery on 5 October 2023 and was supported by the DĂșn Laoghaire Arts Office and Moran Been-Noon
